Member Carlton University

Tory Society

Carlton University is oldest, largest and best-known journalism school in the country was founded in October 1945 in the wake of the Second World War.

I make a modest donation monthly and as a result am considered a member of The Tory Society described as a unique giving society, established to recognize Carleton’s most generous and loyal donors. It is named after Henry Marshall Tory, Carleton’s founder and first president.

As a former journalist and a career communications professional, I like to think my small but regular donations help a little in supporting the next generation of those who have goals described this way by Carlton U:

Whether your goal is to cover the news, shape public policy, promote worthy causes or generate buzz about the Next Big Thing, a Carleton journalism education is the perfect path to any career in truth-seeking, change-making or storytelling.
