Art Osborne is regarded as a seasoned communicator and administrator with extensive communications and marketing experience, including senior positions in media, business and not-for-profit association administration (particularly healthcare), as well as provision of consulting services to leading corporations and institutions through Art Osborne & Associates.
Currently he is the Communication Adviser/Planner and Provincial Information Officer with Aviation and Forest Fire Management, Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources.
His broadcast media career experience (on-air and administrative in radio and televisions) includes radio program host, journalist, interviewer and program manager. He has extensive background in audio-visual productions.
Volunteer participation in the community and province provides a mastery level knowledge of the not for profit sector through positions on various positions on Boards of Directors, Committees and community causes/events.
He’s developed and taught courses at a College level for adults in public relations/ communications theory and practice as well as designed/executed communication plans. Additionally, he’s conducted workshops on communication planning and media training for spokespersons (for staff and board members) in the private and not-for-profit sectors.
His former consulting practice and personal approach to projects are based on a foundation of excellecne in business and customer service ethics as outlined in the principles of: the Sault Ste. Marie and District Chamber of Commerce, the Canadian Federation of Independent Business, and the International Association of Business Communicators.
